Common questions before booking with Fargo Tattoo.
What are your hours?
Open daily, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM — Monday through Sunday. Appointments are preferred, but same-day appointments are welcome when there's availability. Call or text (701) 831-7231 ahead to check.
How do I book?
Tap Book Now anywhere on this site — you'll share your idea, placement, and reference images first, then lock in your appointment. You can also call or text (701) 831-7231 to talk it through first. A quick photo usually settles most questions.
How much does a tattoo cost?
The standard rate is $100/hour. New customers who book 4–7 hours get $100 off the total (so a 4-hour session is $300); booking 8+ hours takes $200 off (an 8-hour day is $600). See the Promotions page for the full breakdown.
How does the deposit work?
A flat $50 holds your appointment — whether you're booking one hour or a full day. It's not an extra charge; it comes straight off the final cost of your tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable, but that only matters if you no-call no-show. Need to reschedule? Reach out any time before your appointment — even the day before — and it's no problem at all. The sooner you can, the better, since it opens the slot for someone else waiting.
What's the touch-up policy?
Minor touch-ups are typically covered free when they're scheduled within 30 days of your original appointment — you have the full 30 days to get it on the books, not to get it done. Touch-ups are at artist discretion. Worth knowing: hands and feet are naturally high-fade areas, so free touch-ups there are less common, and a tattoo that's had a rough time in aftercare may not qualify. A full redo of a piece isn't a touch-up — that level of rework usually traces back to healing, and it's handled as its own conversation.
Do you tattoo minors?
Clients 16–17 are welcome with a parent or legal guardian present for the entire appointment, two forms of identification, and a design and placement appropriate for a minor. Clients 18+ just need a valid ID.

What does Fargo Tattoo specialize in?
Black & grey realism, portraits, semi-realism, and cover-ups are the core focus — with fine line, lettering, memorial pieces, and color work when the design calls for it. Every tattoo is done by Shawn Lowe personally, start to finish.
Do you do piercings?
No — Fargo Tattoo is tattoo-only.
What should I do before my appointment?
Eat a real meal beforehand, drink plenty of water the day before and day of, bring a sugary drink or snack for long sits, sleep well, skip alcohol the night before, and wear comfortable clothing with easy access to the area being tattooed.
